The City's water supply is provided by municipal wells, stored in a water tower and conveyed through a large network of underground water mains and supply lines. Environmental Services Group, ESG, the current water services contractor, is responsible for providing continuous, adequate, potable, bacteria free water supply under constant pressure. ESG is also responsible for the proper maintenance of the supply system, reading of water meters and responding to customer service requests. The water system is also essential for the provision of local fire protection services.
